This presentation analyses the causes, symptoms and laboratorial abnormalities of sleep obstructive apnea, snoring, obesity, diet and their role in metabolic syndrome , one of the main causes of pathological ageing.
We emphasize the central role of inflammatory hormones in metabolic syndrome and in the physiology of pathological ageing, as cardiac and renal disfunction, sleepness, brain oedema and inflammation and headache and possible relations with degenerative cerebral diseases, facial oedema , eritrasma and facial saggicity ( including blepharocalasis), arthrosis and one possible explanation of higher cancer cases in ageing.
This recentering of inflammatory hormones as the central key of the pathological ageing can lead to new paradigms in the treatment and prevention of the pathological ageing, allowing us to age healthful in full lucity and dignity, and may be the Columbus egg of ageing…
